Callisto
Callisto is a wilderness boss which resides deep in the wildy in a level 41 multi-combat zone. Callisto can be given to a player as an elite slayer task. If you wish to kill Callisto it is important to remember not to bring any items YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE as this is a particularly dangerous area of the wilderness.
Fight overview
Callisto is weak to slash-based damage, therefore bringing melee gear that deals slash damage (whips/scimitars/godswords) is advised.
Callisto has the following attack strategies to be aware of:
- Callisto lunges his claw at his target for heavy melee damage. This is Callisto's main attack so protection from melee is advised to be on at all times.
- Callisto can unleash a powerful magic-based shockwave which can damage the player for up to a 60. Callisto will use this ability much more often the further you are from him. Therefore, staying within melee distance is heavily advised.
- Callisto has a special attack where he flings the player backwards and stuns them for a few seconds. This is unavoidable. However when it happens, be sure to get back into melee distance to avoid any further damage from his powerful magical attack.
Gear Setup
Callisto is situated deep in the wilderness in a multi-level combat zone. Therefore, only bring items you are willing to risk. This guide to gear setups suggests only bringing 3 high-value items due to the increased risk of being smited for your +1.
Bringing a completionist cape comes with an additional 240m risk. A max cape comes with a 120m risk and a fire cape comes with a 30m risk.
- Custom Whip > Chaotic Rapier > Abyssal Whip
- Divine Spirit Shield > Elysian Spirit Shield > Dragonfire Shield
- Helm of Neitiznot > Fighter's Hat
- Any barrows platebody > Black D'hide Top
- Any barrows platelegs > Black D'hide Chaps
- Dragon Boots > Climbing Boots
- Barrows Gloves
- Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Strength > Amulet of Glory
- 'Perfect Ring' > Berserker Ring (i) > Berserker Ring > Ring of Recoil
- Completionist Cape > Max Cape > Fire Cape > Obsidian Cape
Note: If you are on a slayer task (elite) using a slayer helm (i) and brawling gloves (slayer) will result in better experience rates.
Inventory setup
Bring an Amulet of Glory or a Royal Seed Pod to teleport at 30 wilderness incase you encounter PKers.
Location
Use the PVP teleport option and choose from one of the following options.
Note: The red areas indicate multi-combat zones. Therefore if you are attacked by a clan, running east will get you into a single combat zone which you can then tank down to level 30 wilderness in.
