Vorkath is a draconic boss-monster. Created by Zorgoth during the Fourth Age's Dragonkin Conflicts, the blue dragon is one of his subjects that have survived his experiments in the laboratory beneath the dragonkin fortress on Ungael. Despite its phenomenal strength, he notes that it lacked the aggression he desired, and abandons it to guard the fortress from invading human forces as a “little distraction”.
Warning to all Hardcore Ironmen!
While you do keep your items on death at Vorkath, it is treated as a normal pvm death. You will lose your status if you die here!
Fight overview
Vorkath uses a variety of attacks, primarily ranged and magical attacks, as well as melee if standing next to him. Similar to the King Black Dragon, he can also use three types of dragonfire: regular, venomous, and prayer-disabling kind. His dragonfire is stronger than other dragons' and requires more tiers of protection to block. The final common attack is a fireball he launches high in the air that must be dodged or it will deal substantial damage. Vorkath also uses 2 deadly special attacks.
Standard Attacks
Special Attacks
Every six attacks, Vorkath alternates between one of two special attacks:
Fight Technique
Vorkath can be killed efficiently with Melee or Ranged. Ranged has the advantage of avoiding incoming Melee attacks. It is highly recommended to use some form of protection from dragonfire and venom. Ruby Bolts (e) are recommended if using a crossbow. Switch to Onyx Bolts (e), Dragon Bolts (e), or Diamond Bolts (e) once Vorkath is at half health. Avoid Vorkath's Fireball attack when he launches it. During the Poison Pool special phase, continue to move around while taking one shot at Vorkath every chance you get. You will take some damage, but it is worth the extra damage you will deal. When Vorkath freezes you with the white projectile, stop attacking and prepare your Crumble Undead spell to use on the spawn.
Location
Vorkath can be reached by using the Monsters teleport in the spellbook.
Drops
In addition to the 100% drops, the player will also have two rolls on Vorkath's drop table, excluding tertiary items, which have only one roll. The displayed drop chances represent a single roll. The full drop table can be found on the official Wiki Drops Page. This page will automatically update if any changes are made.

Gear Setups
Your exact inventory will depend on your gear and skill level. Make sure that you have some form of antifire potion, some form of anti-venom, an overload, some prayer restoring potions, and a source of food. Also bring runes to cast Crumble Undead. These can be placed in a rune pouch to save space. Substitute Brawling gloves (slayer) and a Slayer Helmet (i) if on a Vorkath or Blue Dragon Slayer task. Elite Void can also be used effectively here.
