Kraken

The Kraken is a stronger and larger version of the cave kraken. It requires level 87 Slayer to kill. The Kraken can only be attacked when on a Slayer Assignment. They are the only monsters that drop the Kraken tentacle and Trident of the Seas. The Kraken cannot be attacked by melee and ranged damage is reduced by 50% (does not affect bolt specials).

Note: You can only get a Kraken task assigned if your slayer streak is at least 3. If you're an Ironman, you will only get it assigned if you have at least 95 Agility.

Requirements

• 87 Slayer
• Slayer streak of 3 (to get it as a task)
• 95 Agility if Ironman for the rope swing area.
• 99 Magic
• Protection Prayers

Fight overview

The Kraken attacks with typeless Magic. These attacks can not be blocked by overhead prayers. It is recommended to attack with blood barrage or a trident class weapon. If on the normal prayerbook, use the augury prayer. If on curses, use the soulsplit curse.

Location

The Kraken is located west of Brimhaven. The fastest way to get there is by using the Skilling teleports in your spellbook. Chose the Thieving teleport to go to Ardougne. From the center of the city, run south to the docks. Talk to the NPC on the docks and he will take you to the Brimhaven Docks. From there, run west until you reach the Kraken. West of the first Kraken is a and Island with a rope-swing. Use the rope-swing to get to the island where there are two more Krakens waiting for a fight.
