The Giant Mole is a boss found in the Mole Lair just under Falador Park. There are 5 Giant Moles in the lair. The Giant Mole's origin and creation are described as “a slight accident involving a bottle of Malignius-Mortifer's-Super-Ultra-Flora-Growth-Potion”. The Giant Mole's lair can be accessed by using the Metal Spade on any of the mole hills in Falador park. The Metal spade can be obtained from any casket, the Burnt Chest, and as a drop from the Giant Mole.
Fight overview
The Giant Mole attacks with Melee. It is strongly recommended to use Protect from Melee or Deflect Melee. Due to the Mole's high Hitpoints and low Defense, 1hp Dharoking is very effective.
Location
In order to access the Giant Mole, teleport to Falador through the Spellbook. The Giant Mole's lair can be accessed by using a Metal Spade on any of the mole hills in Falador park. These mole hills are marked with dungeon icons on the map.
Drops
The Giant Mole is killed for it's Mole Skin and Mole Claw. The Giant mole drops a various amount of different runes, herbs, bolts, and resources. The full Drop tables can be found on the official Wiki Drops Page. This page will automatically update if any changes are made.
Item | Notes | |
---|---|---|
Mole Claw | If you have any claws equipped (bronze, iron, steel, mithril, adamant, rune or dragon) while having a mole claw in your inventory, you can use 'operate' on the claws. This will consume the mole claw and apply guaranteed poison damage on your next successful claw hit (unless of course your opponent uses antipoison). This feature cannot be used in the duel arena or clan wars, however. Also, if you use the Mole claw on the Giant Mole, it will prevent him from burrowing until he is killed. | |
Mole Skin | Use this skin on the Crafting store shopkeeper in return for a random amount of red, green and/or black dragonhides (you can get up to 1000 noted black d'hides if you're lucky). | |
Baby Mole | The Pet variant of the Mole | |
Metal spade | Used to enter the Giant Mole's Lair |
Gear Setups
Substitute Brawling gloves (slayer) and a Slayer Helmet (i) if on a Giant Mole Slayer task. Elite Void and Dharok setups can also be used very effectively.
