Lost Souls are the ghostly versions of creatures slain during the God Wars found throughout the entire wilderness. They are extremely dangerous monsters, capable of hitting very high and accurately for monsters of their combat levels. Killing a Lost Soul grants you PkPoints, Slayer points, and the chance at items. Lost Souls also have 50% chance (or 100% chance when wearing a salve amulet) to receive 3 - 9 bonus slayer points, randomly decided depending on their level. No need to be on slayer task to receive bonus slayer points.

A Lost Souls clue scroll can be obtained from Death in edgeville. When opened inside the wilderness, this scroll will point to the closest Lost Soul that is not under attack.

Lost Souls use all three forms of combat. Their range attack has a chance to freeze their target. In addition, their attacks change based on the player's defensive stats and protection prayers being used. They are also capable of healing themselves when their hitpoints fall below 50%, though this only occurs a limited amount of times.

Being undead, Lost Souls are susceptible to the effects of the salve amulet and its enchanted version.

Lost Souls can be found anywhere throughout the wilderness. However, there is a greater chance of Lost Souls spawning in hotspot areas such as outside KBD, Mage Arena Bank, Mithril Dragons, both graveyards, and Annakarl. Higher level Lost Souls spawn mostly in the deep wilderness.

Be sure to use the Lost Souls Clue Scroll to navigate to your nearest Lost Soul.

All Lost Souls share all unique drops. As the combat level of the Lost Souls goes up, the lower tier supply drops are more common and the amount of supplies increases.
Note: Dragon bones are only dropped by Lost Dragon Soul.

The most effective way of killing Lost Souls is using your best melee gear. Lost Souls don't have any particular weakness, so a player should use the best DPS gear that they have and are willing to risk in the wilderness. Ranged and Magic are also viable options. While the kills will generally be slower, damage can be avoided when attacking a Lost Soul from beyond their attack range. Any of the Ice spells from the Ancient Magicks spell book can prove to be useful.

This means that, when wearing the salve amulet (or enchanted variant) the player gets a +10% damage boost. Also, when wearing the Salve Amulet (e), the player will restore hitpoints equal to 20% of the damage dealt to the Lost Souls. Note: This doesn't stack with the Soul Split prayer or the Whip of Souls.

It is very important to note that with any setup, you will be risking all but 3 or 4 items while in the wilderness (if not skulled). Only take items that you are willing to lose!
