===== Demonic Gorillas =====
Demonic gorillas are powerful creatures found in the caverns northeast of the gnome stronghold. They are primarily killed for their zenyte shard and ballista component drops.

Demonic gorillas count as black demons for the progression of Slayer tasks. As they are demons, they are susceptible to the effects of demonbane weapons. Demonic gorillas cannot be damaged with a Dwarf multicannon.

===== Fight Overview =====
Demonic gorillas use all three combat styles to attack. They will change combat styles after missing three hits in that attack style. They are also capable of using protection prayers, and will switch to protect from the player's attack style after taking 50 damage from it. Therefore, you must bring at least two different combat styles to kill them. As they have very high magical defences, they are most often killed with melee and range.


The gorillas also have a special attack where they send a rock crashing down at the player's position, which can be easily avoided by moving out of the way. If you are hit by this attack it will deal 1/3 of the player's current HP allowing it to hit over 30 damage on players with high HP

If the Gorilla is attacking with a <wrap safety>green attack</wrap> this is a magic attack, so use Deflect Magicor Protect from magic.

If the Gorilla is throwing rocks at you this is a ranged attack, so use Deflect missiles or Protect from missiles.

If the gorilla is in melee distance and hitting you with his fist use Deflect/Protect Melee.

===== Location =====

Demonic gorillas can be found inside the Crash Site Cavern. You can get here with or without a [[items:royal_seed_pod|Royal seed pod]]. The [[items:royal_seed_pod|Royal seed pod]] is easily obtained, [[items:royal_seed_pod|click here to see how/where to get one]].

//The quickest way to get here is to commune [[items:royal_seed_pod|Royal seed pod]] which will teleport you to the Crash site.//


==== Without a Royal Seed Pod ====

Without a Royal Seed Pod in your inventory, go to the skilling teleport in your spellbook. Teleport to Gnome Agility Course. Run west to exit the course then northwest through the grand tree. Then, pass-through opening. After passing-through the opening, follow the path to the crash site to the northeast and Enter Cavern Entrance. 

Once in the Cavern, Tortured Gorillas will be around you. If you want to exit and return to the Cavern Entrance, Climb-up rope. To proceed to the Demonic Gorillas, run east and turn north at the first chance you can, and follow the path west.




===== With Royal seed pod ======

With a Royal seed pod in your inventory, commune Royal seed pod and you will be teleported. Once teleported, follow the path northeast to the crash site and Enter Cavern Entrance. Then take the first path north and follow it west.



Once in the Cavern, Tortured Gorillas will be around you. If you want to exit and return to the Cavern Entrance, Climb-up rope. To proceed to the Demonic Gorillas, run and follow the path.
