**<fs 200%>Nex Gear</fs>**

There are 3 sets of armour that are dropped by [[npcs:nex|Nex]]. These sets are commonly referred to as Nex Gear. They provide some of the best offensive, defensive, and prayer bonuses in the game. Wearing a full set will provide 10% increase accuracy in the respective attack style. 

  * Torva - Melee
  * Pernix - Ranged
  * Virtus - Magic

All Nex gear has a system of charges. Charges can be added to an item by using an [[items:ancient_repair_kit|Ancient Repair Kit]] on it. Each [[items:ancient_repair_kit|Ancient Repair Kit]] adds 4000 charges. The maximum amount of charges an item can hold is 40,000. One charge is consumed for every 3 seconds of combat. This means that a fully charged item will last for a minimum of 33.3 hours of combat. Due to the method in which this is calculated, these charges may last longer depending on the attack speed of the monsters you are in combat with. 

Torva, Pernix, and Virtus only use charges when you are actively being attacked. The Zaryte Bow only use charges when you are actively attacking a monster.

Once an item is out of charges, it will be unequipped and placed in the players inventory. If an item is risked on death, the item will uncharge and drop to the ground on death. The charges will be converted to ancient repair kits (rounded down) which are also dropped to the ground.
