Thieving is a skill which allows players to obtain coins and items by stealing from market stalls, chests, or by pickpocketing non-player characters.

Most Thieving training can be done at the Thieving Skilling teleport or in the ::skilling center. 

At Level 99, players can loot the [[guides:rogues_chest|Rogues Chests]] in the Rogues Castle in the wilderness. The loot is improved when Bounty hunter is turned on.

<tabbox Pickpocketing>
The Pickpocket option can be made the left click option by holding Shift. Players can utilize the Sticky Keys accessibility feature on Windows OS to hold the shift key down. 

Players can perform 1 pickpocket every 3 game ticks (1.8 seconds). To determine max XP/hr, simply multiply the XP per pickpocket by 2,000. (Rogues with brawlers give 26,000 per pickpocket and 52M XP/hr)

Levelling Thieving is extremely simple. Just thieve from the highest level stall you can until you reach the next tier. Reaching level 99 takes about an hour. If a stall runs out of supplies, go to a different one until it respawns. Pickpocketing is only a viable option with [[items:gloves_of_silence|Gloves of Silence]].

For post 99 Thieving Experience, there are two options: Gem Stalls and Rogues. It is highly recommended to use the **[[items:gloves_of_silence|Gloves of Silence]]** for Rogues and **[[items:brawling_gloves|Brawling gloves]]** for Gem Stalls. 

However, from 200m xp onwards, you should use Thieving skilling cape combined with thieving brawlers for the most xp.

**Rogues are considered the best thieving EXP ingame.**

Hold shift to make the pickpocket option the top option. 

Spam press shift a few times and windows will ask 'enable sticky keys?' choose yes and then if you press shift once it keeps shift enabled.
