Dagannoth Rex is the Melee-based [[guides:dagannoth_kings|Dagannoth King]] found in the depths of the Waterbirth Island Dungeon, along with fellow [[guides:dagannoth_kings|Dagannoth Kings]], [[npcs:dagannoth_supreme|Dagannoth Supreme]] and [[npcs:dagannoth_prime|Dagannoth Prime]]. 

**<fs large>Fight overview</fs>**

Dagannoth Rex attacks with a Melee attack. Around the perimeter of the lair, Spinolyps attack the player with a weak range-based magic attack. Using the Protect from Melee prayer and staying out of the range of the other two kings is recommended to minimize damage taken.

While Rex is technically weak to Magic, Melee is the recommended attack style here.

The Dagannoth Lair can be reached by using the [[guides:dagannoth_kings|Dagannoth Kings]] teleport in the Monsters tab of the Spellbook.
